Running in NYC Marathon was the best experience of my life! From meeting everyone, Edward Norton, Parashi, Sunte and Samson to the support from all the spectators to the run itself, it was awesome! The week before the race, I almost got hit by a car may left ankle and hamstring was bothering me some. I didn’t want to say anything to anybody because I didn’t want anyone to question whether I was able to run. I wanted to run the marathon in 4 hours but by mile 16 my left hamstring was hurting. The last four miles were painful but I Did It! My time was 4:32:51.

I am very proud of myself. It was my first marathon, I’ve never ran this far before in my life and I only had three months to train for it! Would I do it again? Absolutely!

Thank You for allowing me to be apart of the MWCT team, it was awesome! I don’t know which African country my bloodline comes from but I have always had a love for Kenya and it was awesome to meet Maasai runners and participate in Maasai rituals.
